Every business, where possible, should nominate a room or rooms to become a Quarantine Room should a pandemic outbreak occur.
The room may be a conference room or a storage room, or any other room which can easily and quickly be converted into a Quarantine Room as necessary.
The Quarantine Room should be located away from the main offices if practical, and have designated route to/from office back exits.
Create a map of the route between the Quarantine Room and all exits.
Staff who become sick at work can be quickly taken to the Quarantine Room where they may wait for medical staff to come to them, or exit the offices from there to transport waiting to take them to hospital or home.
The Quarantine Room should contain a bed for sick staff to lie down, ample drinking water, sick bags and disinfecting materials.
The Quarantine Room should be thoroughly disinfected after each use.
