At the onset of the Influenza Pandemic panicked employees will believe they have become infected when they exhibit just about any ailment or symptom.
Knowing the differences between Influenza and the Common Cold could alleviate un-necessary anxiety and prevent false alarms. This would in-turn reduce your staff absenteeism rate.
We recommend you re-create the following table and give a copy to each employee at the onset of the pandemic (when Red alert response phase is raised).
In general, symptoms such as fever, body aches, fatigue and dry cough are more common with the flu while a runny or stuffy nose is more common with a cold.
